HM W5D4 - 4 miles
As soon as I walked out my front door I wanted to go back inside. It was sticky humid and gross. I had prepared myself for a miserable run last night but this was worse than I expected.
I took the first steps anyway and just let myself take it easy. I knew I would have to walk a bit because heat exhaustion, while never good, was not an option today. We’re headed to the Bronx Zoo as I’m typing.
That’s another reason I wasn’t too worried about my pace or consistency today. I’m going to get some hill training while we walk around the zoo (lots of hills). I’m sure there will be at least another 4 miles walked today.
Also, there have to be bad runs along with the good. You have to learn how to cope with the struggles, right? Well, I definitely did that today.
